SHARE-A-GIFT is an annual all-volunteer Holiday project that seeks to provide toys for needy children. The project is coordinated with Boulder County Social Services, the Holiday Food Basket and Share-A-Coat programs, and the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.
The goals of Share-A-GIFT are to benefit children who are innocent participants in difficult situations, and to help prevent child abuse sometimes precipitated by inadequate family resources during the holiday season. The toys are not given directly to the children - the parent(s) make their own selections from the donations and then may use them for any appropriate occasion.
To be successful, SHARE-A-GIFT needs thousands of toys, new and nearly new, and hundreds of hours of volunteer time to collect, clean, and distribute the toys. Faith communities, service organizations, businesses, school classes, employee associations, families and individuals all have important roles in SHARE-A-GIFT. Please help to brighten a beautiful Holiday Season.
